Transportation infrastructure development
I seek to find answers to the below that comes to my mind when I see transportation infrastructure1. Why is transportation mandatory part of our lives ?
2. What are we achieving through transportation ?
Context - Trucks that transport potatoes from south end to north and bring tomatoes from north to south achieve nothing but making food vulnerable to fluctuations fuel price rise especially when both these commodities are available locally.
3. Should transportation of people be an exceptional activity as against a day to day indispensable activity ?
4. Is transportation infrastructure development a one time activity or a ongoing activity ?
Thinking of beyond 2025, Is transportation infrastructure development sustainable if its ongoing ?
5. Who pays the price for the infrastructure creation and iterative re-creation ? People, Environment - ??
